SOME INFORMATIONS
1. Hang Mua is constructed following the model of “The Great Wall” in China with nearly 500 steps up to mountains to conquer. It is a hard trek up with many of its uneven limestone steps ( expecially at the top point) but worth your conquering efforts for impressive panoramic view of Ninh Binh when you reach the top point of Mua mountains.Take your leisurely trek up with care due to steep steps on the way.For wonderful panoramic photos of golden rice fields & limestone monntains, you’d better arrange your trip to Ninh Binh & Mua cave between April and May when the rice is getting ripe from green to yellow colours.
2. Phat Diem Cathedral. 34 km from Ninh Binh, in the middle of the canals and the rice fields of the delta, the small commune of Phat Diem was during the French period the "Vatican of North Vietnam", it's St Peter being a huge cathedral built between 1874 and 1898. Mixing Eastern and Western architectural styles, it is quite spectacular, especially because of its size (75m x 27m x 15m height)and its interior with its huge iron wood columns. On each side have been built 2 small gothic chapels.
3. Trang An Landscape Complex is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, many of them partly submerged and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs. The property also contains temples, pagodas, paddy-fields and small villages. Tràng An is a scenic area in Ninh Bình, Vietnam renowned for its boat cave tours.
